Frequently Asked Questions

How Does PostStitch Work?

PostStitch features three subscription options: BigStitch, BigStitch Lite, SockStitch (learn more about our subscriptions below). You can choose to sign up for our month-to-month option, or prepay for multiple months at a discounted rate. Once you subscribe to PostStitch you will automatically be enrolled to receive a new subscription each month.

If you are signed up for our month-to-month renewals, you will be charged on the last day of the month and your box will be shipped on the next business day. So, on September 30 you will be charged for October's subscription. If you sign up for a multiple month subscription you will be charged at the end of your 3 or 6 month term for another 3 or 6 month subscription.

On or around the 1st of each month (whatever is the first available business day) we ship out that month's subscription with your new project. Once your box is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. Subscriptions ship free to our subscribers in the United States, as well as APO/FPO/DPO addresses.  PostStitch does ship internationally. All of PostStitch prices are in USD and international shipping costs and any other taxes or fees are the responsibility of the customer. For both domestic and international shipping, we use the United States Postal Service's First Class and Priority Mail services to get packages from us to you.

At any time, you can manage your subscription, which you can do here . You can skip a month, swap subscription types, update your shipping address, or even cancel. If you have any questions or need help making adjustments to your account, please email us at info@poststitchbox.com .

What Can I Expect With My Subscription?

BigStitch subscribers will receive a woman's accessory project* (think: shawl, hat, scarf, mitts, or cowl). Each box will include the printed pattern and the yarn, needle, and notions needed to complete the project. BigStitch Lite will receive a woman's accessory project* with printed pattern, yarn to complete the project, and special notions when applicable. SockStitch subscription features a woman's sock project and includes, printed pattern, yarn to complete the project, and special notions when applicable .

PostStitch is all about discovering new yarns, designers, and skills, and color is no exception. Each month we choose several colorways that we feel best compliments the pattern and that (hopefully) everyone will love. If you don't care for the colorway you receive, we can typically swap it out with another colorway we featured that month. Email us at info@poststitchbox.com for more info and availability.

We understand that not every pattern is for everyone, so we post alternative pattern suggestions on our Pinterest page . These patterns call for the same yardage and weight of yarn that you received, allowing you to still discover the yarn and notions inside your box. Many of our subscribers find that finished Finished PostStitch projects make great gifts, so while you may not love it, it could be perfect for a friend!

* Our subscriptions contain beginner - intermediate skill level knitting projects that are fun for veteran knitters and curious new knitters.

Can I send a gift subscription?

You absolutely can! To sign up for a gift subscription, choose your subscription type here . During the check out process, choose the option "this is a gift." You can then choose whether your gift will be a one time gift, or if it will autorenew at the end of the gift term. The first month of your gift subscription will ship out during our next shipping cycle, which falls the first business day of the next month. In this subscription kit, we will include a gift card with the terms of the gift, who it's from, and your gift note. If your gift giving date falls before the next shipping cycle, email us and we would be happy to accomodate by sending a box early or sending you a gift card for your recipient to open.

How Can I Manage My Subscription?

You can manage your subscription anytime by logging in here . Once logged in you can update your address and billing information, swap your subscription with another, change your subscription terms, skip a month, or even cancel your subscription. Just make sure you make any changes before the last day of the month, when subscriptions auto renew. Need help? We're happy to make changes for you. Just email us at info@poststitchbox.com .

When Can I Expect My Subscription?

We ship all our subscriptions on the 1st of each month, or the next business day in the event the first falls on a Sunday or holiday. We ship all subscriptions via USPS First Class or Priority Mail, and you will receive a tracking number to the email address on file as soon at it ships. Domestic shipments typically take 2-4 days to arrive, while international shipments can take up to 7-10 days. PostStitch is not responsible for packages after they have been marked "delivered" by USPS. Questions? Email us at info@poststitchbox.com .

Can I Return My Subscription?

Unfortunately, because of the suprise nature of our susbcriptions, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on subscriptions received. However, please let us know if your subscription missing an item or something has arrived damaged by emailing us at info@poststitchbox.com. We will replace it ASAP. Email us at info@poststitchbox.com . Please know, we are happy to make any tweaks to your subscription before it ships out on the 1st. Just shoot us an email!
